Makeover Monday: Photo Tutorial

Happy to be back with a Makeover Monday.  I've been wanting to use these colors forever.  I will be using gloMinerals' spring Limited Edition Floral Fantasy kit.  I currently have 2 of these in stock, though I'm pretty sure they're spoken for.  If anyone out there is interested in purchasing one, there are still 150 available from the company, and I will be taking up-front preorders for them at $65.
Cleo Eye Shadow Quad: All new colors sand, desert rose, kohl and indigo. Apply to eyes using appropriate brushes. Precise Micro Eyeliner:Micro Eyeliner tip applies pigment with pin-point precision to accentuate and define eyes. Perfect Lip Duo in bare: Apply the creamy lipstick to lips and then use gloss to enhance shine. Powder Cheek Stain: Easy-to-apply Powdered Cheek Stain. The long-lasting color of a stain with the application ease of a powdered blush! Apply with the Texture Brush to apples of the cheeks.

Today's Makeover Monday features Heather Weber.  She was in the mood for a new look, and I was itching to try these new products out on someone.
Her before...
I did some undereye concealing, eyelid priming, and blemish camouflaging, then applied pressed base foundation in golden medium.  Then, I started with the powder cheek stain.  This color looks a little intimidating.  I love it, though.  It's a dewey flushed pink look, and it's best applied with the texture brush (as shown).

To me, this look is cheek-centric, with the focus being on the pink, flushed cheeks, so that's why I started there and then built the rest of the look around the cheeks.
Next, I worked on the eye & brow area.  I first applied the lightest base color of the Cleo quad,

Then, I used the peach color to blend into the eye contour and lid area.  Next, I blended the taupey grey and the periwinkle blue together to swipe into the contour area and make a vee into the outer corner of the eye.

We filled in her brows with the eye liner/brow brush, and I used dark brown kona eyeshadow for the brow filler color.
And, next, I lined her eyes first with the brown precision liner included in the kit,
and I blended & smudged with the same eyeliner/brow brush that I used for her brows, but didn't even have to add more kona shadow.
Finished up with the perfect lip duo in bare.  I first applied the creamy lipstick end, and topped it off with the gloss.  This product is available separately from the kit, and it in stock at my shop.
And, her afters...

Thank you, Heather.  I think you look lovely & radiant!

  1. Wow! I see what you mean about it being cheek centric but she looks so healthy in the after shots.
