April Product Spotlight

This month I am featuring a new-to-me product from gloMinerals called Eye Revitalize.  This product caught my attention when I read about the ingredients, and now that I understand more about what they do, I had to try it for myself.  It retails for $22.50.
description:

Cucumber, squalane and hyaluronic acid in glominerals eye revitalize cool and hydrate the skin while aloe and linoleic acids work to condition. Goldenseal and juniper offer a temporarily "lift" to the delicate eye areas, while light-reflecting minerals help diminish the appearance of fine lines and brighten the eyes.

This colorless cream formulation can be worn by all skin tones.

expert tips & techniques:

Use Eye Revitalize under concealer to revitalize tired eyes prior to makeup application. Carry the tube in your purse to dab on eyes that need a little 'wake up'. For the brightest of eyes, use this under the Brightener Highlight Concealer.

Personal Review:  I love the cooling effect that this product has on my tired eyes.  I have been carrying it in my purse the last couple of weeks, and when I work long days, strain my eyes, and don't even have time to take a lunch break, I reach for this as a quick pick-me up. It definitely helps that dry, lined, dehydrated undereye problem that I have.

Stop by Riversong Spa and put Eye Revitalize to the test.

March Product Spotlight

March will begin a  new monthly feature where I spotlight a great product that I carry in my shop.  This month, I am featuring Eminence Organics Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum.  This product is my best-selling product.  People are sort of addicted to it.  I refer to it as "the fountain of youth."  And, I've hardly ever met a skin type that couldn't use it.
Description: Refining & Revitalizing

Skin Type: All skin types especially dehydrated

Key Ingredients:
  • Strawberry: cleanser and astringent; contains Salicylic acid that gently exfoliates and removes impurities to brighten skin and shrink pores.
  • Rhubarb: astringent and disinfectant; healing and a good source of ascorbic acid and Vitamin C
  • Hyaluronic Acid (from marshmallow plant extract): deeply hydrating; natural substance that smooths and plumps skin to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Honey: moisturizing, nourishing; acts as a mild antiseptic
  • Aloe Vera: healer, moisturizer; calms irritated skin, works to alleviate the effects of UV radiation, hydrates and softens the skin
  • Biocomplex™: an antioxidant booster of Vitamins A, Ester C, E, Coenzyme Q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid; delivers a balanced mix of essential antioxidants and effectively combats free radicals
1oz/30ml dropper bottle

Some other information about this product is that hyaluronic acid is an extremely anti-aging ingredient that is naturally-occuring in the deeper layers of the skin, in between collagen & elastin fibers, and it can hold up to 1000x its weight in water.  Hyaluronic acid is what gives skin its spring & bounce.  So, we would all drink this stuff if we could. ;)

Another piece of info is that it's obvious this would do wonders for dry & dehydrated skin, but a lot of times, people who have oily skin actually have dehydrated skin, which would be lack of water in their skin.  Dehydrated/oily skin will actually over-product oil to compensate for the dehydration (lack of water).  So, this serum works great on oily skin too.

This product retails for $42, and for a limited time, when you purchase a bottle, you will also receive the cutest little reusable shopping bag that folds up into a drawstring strawberry that's small enough to fit inside your purse.  Sweet!
